TRT1 seemingly has a special calendar with more than 7 days in a week! The state-owned channel has just announced a brand new addition to their slate: a drama series entitled Masumlar Apartmanı (previously, it was titled Çöp Apartman).
Based on a book by the incredible Turkish author Gülseren Budayıcıoğlu, which compiled a list of stories various patients shared with therapists, the adaptation will follow the story of three siblings of a sick parent: two obsessive daughters – Safiye (Ezgi Mola) and Gülben (Merve Dizdar) and one son – Han (Birkan Sokullu), who has devoted his whole life to catering to his family's needs, shuttling tirelessly between work and home.
One faithful day, Han's world will change as soon as he sees and immediately falls in love with İnci (Farah Zeynep Abdullah). For the first time in his life, Han will seek out his own happiness. For the Derenoğlu family on the hand, who spend every day on their toes, matters will get even more out of control with the arrival of İnci.
Masumlar Apartmanı is currently in production and expected to air on TRT1 sometime this fall. The OGM Pictures production is being directed by Çağrı Lostuvalı (Poyraz Karayel).
